Statistics on the production of cocoons

1931 was a crisis year for the production of cocoons in Lombardy (half the output of 1930): while previous output was already insufficient to meet the demands of the silk industry, in the 1930s, the need for the owners of spinning mills to source cocoons from Veneto or Eastern Europe increased.
