Propitiatory rite

A variation of the Cristé ritual related to silkworm rearing, it was a mixture of magical folk formulas and Christian rituals. The magical-protective manifestation was more predominant, however, as the purpose of the rite was to protect the spaces dedicated to rearing silkworms and to bring about successful cocoon production.
