Garlate was first a spinning mill, which then had to become a winding mill. Then — under the guidance of my ancestors — it had to witness and adapt to the difficult evolution of this fascinating industry, which — from the noblest natural fibre — was increasingly conveyed towards the treatment of synthetic fibre. The new charms of research and discovery should be worthy of yesterday's glory.
